Nursing Supervisor

Melissa Fernald, RN Nursing Supervisor

Melissa is from Chesterfield, Virginia and received her bachelors degree in interdisciplinary studies from Radford University. She received her nursing degree from the Bon Secours School of Nursing. She is a Registered Nurse who became part of the KidMed team in November 2009. She has been the Nursing Supervisor since January 2011. Melissa lives in Henrico county with her husband and son.

Office Managers

Linda Corish - Office Manager

Linda has been a Richmond resident since 1981 when she moved from London, England. She attended Longwood University where she earned her B.S. in Anthropology. Her experience includes medical insurance, customer service and childcare management. Linda joined KidMed in August 2009 as a part of the registration team. In February of 2010, Linda took on a new role as one of our Office Managers. Linda resides in Richmond with her three daughters.

Michelle Fairlamb-Fletcher, CPC  - Coding Supervisor

Michelle is a Certified Professional Coder and an AAPC member who became part of the KidMed team in October 2010. She is from Glen Allen, Virginia where she lives with her husband and daughter.

Irene Mabe - Billing Supervisor

Irene grew up in Southern California and moved to Virginia in 1991. Her experience is in medical billing with 25 years of experience, which includes owning her own business for 17 years, where she worked with many various medical practices and specialties. Irene joined Kidmed in June 2011 working in coding and billing until January 2012, when she took on a new role, as Billing Supervisor. When not working, Irene enjoys cooking and gardening.

Mid-Level Practitioners

Whitney Slack, MS, CPNP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Whitney is from Leesburg, VA, and received her bachelors degree in Biology/Chemistry from Longwood University. She received a bachelors in Nursing and masters in Child Health from Virginia Commonwealth University. Whitney was brought to KidMed by Ashley Milham who worked with her previously at VCU Health Systems, where she worked at an RN in Acute Care Pediatrics. Whitney is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner through the Virginia Board of Nursing. Whitney started at KidMed in May 2010 and lives in the west end of Richmond.

Noravy An, MS, CPNP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Noravy is from Sterling, Virginia and completed her undergraduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelors degree in Biology and Psychology. She went on to get her bachelors degree in Nursing and masters degree in Child Health Nursing at VCU. She worked as an RN at VCU prior to joining KidMed in February 2011. She is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and lives in the West End of Richmond.

Tiffany Johnson, PA-C, MSPAS - Physician Assistant

Tiffany is from Murfreesboro, NC and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Premedicine with a minor in Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, NC.  She received her Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University.  She has experience in Emergency and Urgent Care medicine and has been practicing in these settings since 2005. She resides in Midlothian with her husband and daughter.

Katie Bailey, MS, CPNP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Katie is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a MS in Child Health Nursing and a BS in Nursing and Psychology.  She became licensed as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in June 2011.  Katie is fluent in Spanish.  She has studied in Mexico, done volunteer work in Costa Rica, and has visited Spain and Brazil.  While pursuing her education, Katie worked closely with children for 10 years serving as a nanny for several families.  Katie was born and raised in Richmond.  When she is not working, Katie loves playing basketball, football, and kickball.

Amy Foy, MS, CPNP - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Amy grew up in Hampton Roads and moved to Richmond in 1994 after graduating from JMU with a nursing degree.  She worked as a nurse in Pediatrics and inNeurosurgery.  In 1999, she completed her Masters in Nursing at UVA and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She worked in pediatric primary care for three years with Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu, HI followed by three years in Pediatric Orthopedics here in Richmond.  She is marriedwith three boys and has been with KidMed since it opened in Feb 2009.

Lynne Brownell, DNP, FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Brownell grew up in Newport, Rhode Island and earned her BA in Psychology at the University of Rhode Island. She graduated with her BS and MS in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and later earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Radford University. She worked as a registered nurse in an emergency department and later as a nurse practitioner in a pediatric emergency department. In addition to employment with KidMed, Dr. Brownell also works in a pediatric primary care office where she has been in practice since 2005. She lives in Powhatan with her husband and four children.

Octavia “Tavi” Siegel-Hawley, MS, CPNP – Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Tavi is from Richmond, Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She went on to get a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Master’s degree in Child Health Nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She worked in the organ transplant field for 5 years before coming to KidMed in June 2012. She also has experience working as a nurse practitioner in an inpatient setting for children and adolescents. Tavi is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and lives in the Fan with her husband and two dogs.

Linda Wikete, MS, CPNP - Pediatric Nurse Pactitioner

Linda grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. She decided to stay on the east coast receiving her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and her Master’s of Science in Child Health Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked as an RN at VCU Health System prior to joining KidMed in February 2012. Linda resides in downtown Richmond.
