From my previous experience working on the behavioral side in in-home therapy for kids with autism, working at KidMed has been an eye-opening experience from the medical side. I’ve learned so much and there are so many opportunities here to keep learning.

– Clinical Coordinator and Patient Care Technician Level 2 for 1.5 years

I’ve been given good opportunities to get knowledgeable in so many aspects, like pediatrics, lab, supplies, etc. Everyone is eager to share their knowledge.

– Patient Care Technician Level 2, Lab with KidMed for 6.5 years

I’m a new graduate, and working at KidMed has really improved my confidence. I’m grateful for the opportunity and the training I received when I started. I never fear asking a question because everyone is open to helping.

– Physician Assistant

I feel valued when the kids tell me how much fun they had at a visit or when a parent tells me how much their child hates going to the doctor, but I made it such a great experience for them.

– Physician Assistant

It’s nice to work at a place where your work is recognized, appreciated, and it’s verbalized.

– X-Ray Technician

As an x-ray tech, our providers are always consulting us as a part of the process. This is not typical in other medical settings. Also, everyone works as a team today. Feeling like I’m a part of a team makes me feel valued.

– X-Ray Technician with KidMed for 15 years

I appreciated hearing from managers and co-workers that they enjoy working with me. Words of encouragement and appreciation make me feel valued.

– Lead RN

Everyone checks on each other at work and personal lives. My co-workers care and administration, too.

– Nurse Practitioner (formerly RN at KidMed) and at 11 years at KidMed

We have great team camaraderie. Everyone is welcoming. I can ask anyone for help. When there’s a need for help or there’s an emergency, we are all hands on deck.

– Physician Assistant

Our team culture is Welcoming. Supportive. Collaborative. There’s a lot of encouragement to reach your full potential.

– Physician Assistant

Expect the unexpected when working in the clinic. Every day is different – you never know who will walk through our doors and what help they’ll need. Be flexible.

– Nurse Practitioner

It’s a fast-paced environment. This is an urgent care, not a doctor’s office where it’s more predictable. Things can change day-to-day, and even throughout a shift. It’s important to be adaptable and flexible.

– Nurse Practitioner

For an X-ray tech, you really need to like being with kids. You also need to like working as a team, which is different than a hospital setting where X-ray works separately from everyone else. You need to be flexible and be good at communicating with everyone.

– X-Ray Tech

Management is easily approachable. You can ask questions, and they are open to ideas.

– X-Ray Tech

I like that KidMed is so invested in being inclusive. It’s a great opportunity for everyone (employees and patients) to feel comfortable and safe. And because of my previous experience working with kids with autism, I know it makes a difference to families. I also like that new PCTs can come to me and ask for help because of my experience.

– Patient Care Technician

Management and our providers are approachable and willing to help out and be resources. This is not always the case, especially for providers, but they are at KidMed.

– Lead RN

I always feel optimistic about coming to work and look forward to it. I like the variety and enjoy the actual job. I enjoy helping patients and parents. And I like that our coworkers are very team-oriented.

– Lead Patient Representative

I love my co-workers. We help each other when times are stressful. We also get together outside of work and have fun together.

– Physician Assistant

I like that every day is not the same. It keeps it interesting! I like that some days I work in the lab running tests, and then other days I’m interacting with the patients.

– PCT Level 2, Clinical Coordinator

The team environment. Everyone knows their roles and is eager to support each other. There’s a lot of collaboration. I like the variety in my job, like working in the lab, patient interaction, supplies…there’s always something to do. And there’s an equal balance among the team.

– PCT Level 2
