To coordinate responsibility for primary locations facility needs with regards to medication inventory, autoclave maintenance, code cart/suture cart inventory and assisting with staff & evaluations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The lead nurse will be responsible for all registered nurse duties, assisting with the orientation schedule, precepting RN and PCT staff, completing peer evaluations and ensuring job expectations are met. This position will be in charge of ordering supplies, ordering and checking medication inventory and expiration dates. Perform weekly spore testing and document that testing guidelines were followed. Perform monthly cleaning and document that cleaning guidelines were followed.
- Graduation from an approved nursing program
- One year nursing experience in pediatrics
- Emergency/Urgent Care experience (preferred)
- Valid license to practice nursing in the state of Virginia
- Current certification in PALS, ACLS, and BLS
