KidMed is a designated Autism Friendly Community, the first business and medical facility to achieve this through training from the Autism Society of Central Virginia. Creating a more inclusive and accessible healthcare center allows us to better support everyone in our communities.
Specialized training ensures our staff have skills to care for children with autism. Our accommodations – both office-based and skill-based – create a more comfortable, less stressful experience and improve the quality of care.

Visiting KidMed
KidMed welcomes walk-ins and book-ahead visits. Our clinics tend to be less busy between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
Need assistance with communication? KidMed provides free aids and services to people with disabilities or who need language interpretation to communicate effectively, including free language services to those whose primary language is not English.

Book Ahead
KidMed uses Solv, an online tool that allows you to Save Your Spot at a time slot at one of our four locations convenient for you. Registration, paperwork, and viewing a live waitlist are all done online.
With our Save Your Spot feature, you can skip the waiting room, making it easy to wait at home or in your car where your child is most comfortable. We text all our patients when it’s time to enter the clinic.
Visiting KidMed
Walk-ins are always welcome. We understand urgent medical situations don’t always leave time for booking ahead. Visit our patient registration team to be placed on the waiting list, and feel free to wait in the comfort of your car. You can use the Solv app to watch progress on the live waiting list. We will text when it’s your turn.
